If the roof flexes under your feet more than it should, the plywood substrate underneath is absorbing moisture. This means a leak has been active for a while. You'll want to address the source and the damaged decking before the membrane separates.
Grinding, clicking, or a slide that stops halfway usually points to a gear issue, low voltage, or a motor that's on its way out. Running it harder won't fix it and can strip the gear pack. Stop and call before a $200 repair turns into an $800 one.

TPO roofs hold up better in UV, around 15-20 years. Fiberglass lasts the longest but can develop crazing and gelcoat failure. The sealant around penetrations is always the weak link, not the membrane itself.
EPDM is a synthetic rubber membrane, either black or white, flexible, and the most common RV roof material. TPO is a thermoplastic membrane that's usually white and reflects more heat.
